Certainly good enough for tabletop.

Apparently Hexwraith Flame and Nighthaunt Gloom are essentially the same effect as Nihilakh Oxide, just in different colours. Still more colours would be better still, tho.WestRiderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10221228665636182019noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6848887109592588663.post-30729439301249574872019-01-09T19:00:37.571-08:002019-01-09T19:00:37.571-08:00Very impressive work here. I just with they'd make Nihilakh Oxide in some other colours to make runes easier to do. I could go a green, a red, a yellow and a pink now, too! (Because why not?) You’ve pulled it off though :)

I always find things I want to improve on in a mini when I’ve finished, so I wouldn’t worry about it, it’s just part of the hobby journey ;)NafNafhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15788927908701998169noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6848887109592588663.post-87892406392591453822018-12-29T11:50:19.639-08:002018-12-29T11:50:19.639-08:00I've always felt that Tzeentch and Slaanesh sh...I've always felt that Tzeentch and Slaanesh share a similar philosophy both in colour palate and to a certain extent psychology (although all four share similar attributes that connect them to each other). Both relish the malleability of the flesh and the gratification that comes from manipulation.

I love the aesthetic of the old Realm of Chaos models and this model echoes that feeling for me, so good job well done! I think it would also help if I drybrushed a little bit of pink on the skull itself, for a bit of an OSL effect.

It's actually a classic Tzeentch scheme. Pink and blue, same as Horrors. There's definitely some aesthetic overlap there, tho.

Thanks, and you have yourself a good one too!WestRiderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10221228665636182019noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6848887109592588663.post-1823892825067176682018-12-29T03:43:43.569-08:002018-12-29T03:43:43.569-08:00I never realised that the model had so many runes ...I never realised that the model had so many runes on his skin....yikes!
I know what you mean about unusual coloured flame effects been difficult to pull off without spending an inordinate amount of time on them, I'm trying to paint a jade green flame coming from a brazier on my Puppet Master model and I'm not really happy with the overall effect I have so far.
I think it's doubly hard for you because you have two very light colours and I feel that it's the darkness around the flame (or glow) that makes or breaks the effect. It's not impossible with enough time but we all have that next model singing its siren song to us ;-) so sometimes we just have to say a model is done and move on.
It's still a lovely striking model and as a Slaaneshi, I do approve of the tantalising and disturbing colour scheme :D

May the Gods favour you in the coming year my friend, and may Our Lady grant you her number.
Castigator (Gary)https://www.blogger.com/profile/09177108461264289110noreply@blogger.com
